The new book by Fred Werhan entitled “Some Thngs I Said While Trying to Preach the Gospel” (Daily Thoughts for Thoughtful Christians) provides some thought-provoking reflections for daily devotion and discipline. Dr. Werhan states that he only had two sermons, one on Love as what it means to be a Christian, and the other on Freedom as what it means to be a Baptist, and that all his sermons were variations on these two themes. His book expounds on the themes.
