Dear CBF Youth Worker,
I appreciate what you do. Your commitment to serving teens is of great value, and as one of your peers, I recognize that you sometimes need to get away and recharge your batteries. That’s why I want to invite you to join me in Orlando, December 1-4, 2010, for the Youth Worker Summit. The summit is an ecumenical gathering for youth workers of various stripes that will provide you with opportunities for professional development and peer interaction, inspiring times of worship, and also the chance to have fun in the Disney theme parks. But wait! There’s more!
Prior to the Youth Worker Summit, the CBF Youth Ministry Network will be sponsoring an event just for you! The inaugural CBF Youth Worker Retreat will be held on Tuesday evening, November 30, and Wednesday morning, December 1, at the Disney Coronado Springs resort. There is no cost for the event other than an extra night’s stay in the resort lodging* plus your meals. Our retreat will be led by Chanon Ross, Coordinator for the Connections Project at Princeton Theological Seminary’s Institute of Youth Ministry. Chanon’s work in developing a national youth ministry network will provide some valuable insights as we seek to create together a network of our own. If you’ve had any interest in learning more about the CBF Youth Ministry Network and are looking for an opportunity to get involved, you’ll want to be sure to attend this retreat. Be sure to register soon. Also, a limited number of scholarships are available. Contact me if you’d like more information.
You can also get involved in the youth ministry network by becoming a fan on Facebook (CBF Youth Ministry Network) or following us on Twitter (@cbfymn).
