global womenBIRMINGHAM – Babs Baugh will be honored with the Global Heart Award at Global Women’s 15th birthday gala during the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship General Assembly, June 24 in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Stacy Blackmon, the organization’s executive director says: “The Global Heart Award recognizes an extraordinary servant leader who demonstrates commitment to our mission and to using their gifts and abilities to ignite change – for women, for good! We could not think of anyone more deserving of this honor than Babs (and the John and Eula Mae Baugh Foundation).

The Foundation has invested in the work of Global Women for six years. A handwritten note from Babs accompanying one check stated: “I can think of no other organization that would put this to as good use as would Global Women!  You are remarkable, dedicated, honest and living out Matthew!  We are delighted and proud to participate with people who believe in miracles -as we certainly do!”

Tickets are still available for Global Women’s 15th birthday gala and may be purchased online at gwbirthdaygala.eventbrite.com or by calling the organization at 205.663.0505. A partner of CBF, Global Women is observing their birthday in conjunction with CBF’s annual General Assembly.

Global Women believes women have the right to experience life free from poverty, violence, exclusion and discrimination. They envision a world where every woman is empowered by the love of God, valued by her community, and equipped to fulfill her unique purpose.
