The Cooperative Baptist Fellowship invites students in theological or divinity school to participate in the 2018 Seminarian Retreat during the first week of January. This event, now in its fourth year, welcomes students from both CBF partner schools as well as those enrolled at other institutions.
Participants will gather for four days in a retreat setting outside of Charlotte, North Carolina, where community, worship, rest, discernment and calling are at the heart of the experience. Through the exploration of student-generated topics and student-led conversation, learning extends beyond the classroom into the realm of practical ministry and personal passion. Students are given the space to build friendships and network with other participants and leaders from across the Fellowship, while also being invited into the life of CBF and its future.
Over the years, students have found that this retreat energizes and reinvigorates their sense of calling. It helps them imagine new possibilities for ministry by meeting with CBF field personnel, chaplains, pastors, church starters and non-profit leaders. And, it introduces them to a network of support and encouragement that will sustain a life of ministry. It truly is one the most outstanding events that the CBF offers. Don’t miss out! The deadline to sign up is December 1.
