The following is an update from Dr. Jeff Roberts, senior pastor of Trinity Baptist Church in Raleigh, N.C., and Chair of the CBF Executive Coordinator Search Committee.
The Search Committee has been very active in the past month. We met in early August to get ourselves organized and to develop the Position Profile outlining the key attributes and skills we need in our next Executive Coordinator. To do this we gathered information via a survey of CBF staff, the Governing Board, various council and committees and state and regional coordinators.
The Position Profile we developed has been widely distributed to invite people in the Fellowship to apply for the position or to identify people they think might be good candidates to serve as our next Executive Coordinator. We are grateful for the input of member of the Fellowship in helping to identify people to include in the search process.
At this time, we are receiving resumes and names via the email address of search@emdconsulting.com and members of the committee are talking to people who have been identified as potential candidates for the position. At the end of September, the committee will meet to discuss the resumes we have received and identify candidates to participate in a first round of interviews, which will begin in October.
The Search Committee continues to ask for and appreciate the prayers of the Fellowship as we seek the person God has prepared to serve as our next Executive Coordinator.
Jeff Roberts
Search Committee Chair
