CBF Disaster Response monitors Tropical Storm Dorian

August 28, 2019

DECATUR, Ga.—CBF Disaster Response is monitoring the forecast path of Tropical Storm Dorian. Also affecting the northwestern Bahamas, Dorian is currently expected to develop into a Category 4 hurricane prior to making landfall on Florida’s east coast on Tuesday.

Potential impact may extend from central/north Florida up through the coastal Carolinas. We are currently coordinating with CBF Florida and neighboring state organizations with regard to preparations and anticipated response.

Donations in support of Dorian response, as well as ongoing hurricane recovery efforts, can be made here. CBF Disaster Response does not accept food, water or material donations.

Based on requests for assistance from affected state CBF organizations, if needed, CBF Disaster Response will communicate opportunities for volunteer involvement in Dorian relief and recovery efforts as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, we continue to be in prayer for those in the path of the storm, particularly communities that are especially vulnerable.
