BSK’s Flourish Center for Congregational Imagination is offering a special workshop series for youth leaders. These online, non-credit workshops, entitled, Introduction to Youth Ministry and Essential Topics for Youth Ministry, include 6 sessions each.
These workshops are geared not toward youth ministers who already have a Masters of Divinity degree, but toward those who may be working in youth ministry bi-vocationally or as a volunteer, but are not able to get a full Master of Divinity degree.
Essential Topics for Youth Ministry
Essential Topics for Youth Ministry costs $50 and will offer live Zoom sessions on Tuesdays at 7 PM starting on April 13. This course digs into issues including family life, communications, relationships, and key social issues. It also includes insights on avoiding potential dangers as you minister.
Introduction to Youth Ministry
Understanding youth and planning effectively for ministry can be a challenge, especially for new youth leaders. This course covers areas such as planning, counseling, working with volunteers and developmental theory. This is a learn-at-your-own-pace workshop with pre-recorded videos available for use at anytime for $25.
These workshops will be led by experienced youth ministers, Sara Clarke Turpin, Justin Sizemore, and Andrew Noe.
