The Cooperative Baptist Fellowship and CBF Virginia have extended a call to Heidi Ruiz in a new collaborative venture. Ruiz will serve as the Office Coordinator for CBF Virginia and also on the finance and database management team for the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.
Ruiz’s career experience includes both administrative and ministry-related roles, and she was recommended by the Advisory Council of CBF Virginia and approved by the Coordinating Council.
CBF Virginia Coordinator Mark Snipes noted that Ruiz exemplifies the principles of CBF Virginia.
“Partnership and collaboration are core values for CBF Virginia,” Snipes said. “In this new position, we get to partner with CBF Global in a way that helps the entire system. Heidi Ruiz is a natural collaborator who we believe has the gifting and call to take our organization to the next level.”
CBF Executive Coordinator Paul Baxley expressed his gratefulness to CBF Virginia.
“I am grateful to CBF Virginia for their willingness to invite this new collaboration to benefit the entire CBF community,” Baxley said. “This joint position will not only strengthen CBF Virginia, it will also allow stronger financial and data partnerships between CBF Global and CBF state and regional organizations. These kinds of collaborations are essential for ongoing transformation in our Fellowship.”
CBF Associate Coordinator for Operations Becky Buice Hall noted her excitement for the new collaborative partnership.
“We are excited to be collaborating and partnering with CBF Virginia in this new dual role,” Buice Hall said. “Heidi’s knowledge of CBF, experience and skills will enable us to work more effectively and efficiently with CBF’s states and regions, while also giving support to the data management of CBF Global.”
CBF Virginia Associate Coordinator Laura Davis added her excitement for the new team member and closer collaboration with CBF Global.
“We are excited Heidi is joining the CBFVA and CBF Global teams in this dual position,” Davis said. “She knows and loves CBFVA/CBF, has great administrative skills and experience and has a collaborative spirit that will enable us to work more effectively through advocacy, education and partnership.”
Ruiz shared her excitement to begin in this new role.
“I am incredibly excited to join the CBFVA team as Office Coordinator,” Ruiz said. “It’s an honor to contribute to an organization so deeply committed to meaningful work. I’m eager to contribute to our collective mission and continue to build upon the wonderful relationships that make our work so impactful.”
