Medicine Man: The Stan Brock Story

If you’ve watched a wildlife nature show, you probably have Stan Brock to thank. For those that grew up in the 1960s and 70s, you probably tuned into Wild Kingdom, a long-running TV show Stan was the cohost.

But after TV success, the British outdoorsman turned his attention to something different: medical care for those who cannot afford it. For the last 33 years of his life, Stan led Remote Area Medical. Since 1985, you have provided medical, vision, and dental care to more than 900,000 patients since its founding, the equivalent of $189.5 million in free medical care.

Brock’s work is the feature focus of a new documentary, Medicine Man: The Stan Brock Story. We sat down with Paul Michael Angell, the documentarian, and Jeffrey Eastman, the CEO of Remote Area Medical.
