Happy belated Earth Day!
It feels as if the debates over climate change have subsided, with most people accepting that our planet is in trouble. However, what is still contested is the means by which to reverse course based on the special interests of specific industries.
“A brief survey easily demonstrates that human greed and exploitation continue to violate the beauty of our world. Wars are devastating, but they are not the only factor contributing to environmental degradation. We examine why a literary understanding of creation matters for the theological implications of how we care for the world and the people affected most by our degradation.
