Everyone seems to want justice these days. Everyone also feels that their cause is righteously justified. So, what is justice?
As people of faith, we turn to the Scriptures. Except the same people using the Bible to justify their cause may, in fact, be committing acts of injustice.
Defining biblical justice isn’t as easy as turning to a book, chapter, and verse. Especially in the Old Testament, justice is woven into the fabric of the narrative.
“Your context may be different from mine, but the Bible’s invitation to just discipleship is universal,” said Dr. Michael Rhodes on the CBF Podcast Conversation.
Rhodes, an Old Testament Lecturer at Carey Baptist College in New Zealand, sat down with us to discuss his new book Just Discipleship: Biblical Justice in an Unjust World.
