CBF Podcast: Terence and Zion Lester, Zion Learns to See

By Andy Hale

Has there been a shift to achievement and results-based parenting rather than instilling values and character in our children? How does that affect our children’s ability to see themselves and others in the way God sees them?

“Our family is committed to seeing others the way God sees them: as precious and valuable, no matter how much money, power, or popularity they have. This is why we share sandwiches and spend time with men, women, and children at the community center on a Saturday morning.”

Over the years, we have had some fascinating coauthors on the Podcast, but never a father and daughter. For this conversation, we sat down with Terence and Zion Lester, who have coauthored a children’s book, Zion Learns to See. My daughters, Madison and Aubrey-Anna, joined me for the interview.

Terence is the founder of Love Beyond Walls. He has authored several books, including “When We Stand” and “All God’s Children.”  Zion also serves alongside her dad at Love Beyond Walls.
