CBF Podcast: Micha Boyett, Blessed Are the Rest of Us

By Andy Hale

Christianity has a power problem. We have been in power for so long. Well, more specifically, White Christian men have been in power for so long that the notion of humility seems like an irrelevant conversation for most of the faithful.

Even if Jesus calls us to practice meekness, are we willing to let go of how we evaluate human worth, release power and comfort, and go against the grain of our cultural trends toward beauty, health, and success?

“In a world that lived, and still lives, by a script that honors those who wield power, who live with ease, and who need not rely on relationships to survive, Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount offers an entirely different perspective,” urged Micha Boyett on the CBF Podcast Conversation.

Boyett, a pastor and host of The Slow Way podcast, sat down with us to discuss her new book, Blessed Are the Rest of Us.
