Everyone functions differently. I’m a high-functioning person who would rather take off blocks of time quarterly than weekly.
I’m busy. But let’s be honest, who isn’t. Even with all the tools and practices I have at my disposal and in my Batman belt to tackle the all-encompassing nature of all that I do, I can feel like the checklist just gets longer and longer.
And while I take care of my physical, emotional, dietary, vocational, and familial well-being, I often get in the way of what I really need to care for my soul.
“Rest is a disruption to the pattern of moving too fast. Rest is an intentional way of caring about how we feel. Rest is powerful medicine,” urged Kevin Miguel Garcia on the CBF Podcast Conversation.
Kevin, a spiritual coach, digital pastor, and mystic theologian, sat down with us to discuss their new book, What Makes You Bloom.
