The Pandemic came and went. The church changed, right? Well, it’s complicated.
When forced to change, human beings have a resilient capacity to adapt. However, what doesn’t change for go is our capacity to deal with change.
“The expectation of our people was that we would make things better for them. We would right the ship or trim the sails or get us going full steam ahead. They may have expected that there would be some rough seas, but mostly they assumed that our leadership would make an organization a more efficient and effective version of what it already is,” urged Dr. Tod Bolsinger on the CBF Podcast Conversation.
Bolsinger, known for his books Canoeing the Mountain and Tempered Resilience, sat down with us to explore his new book series, Practicing Change. Tod is the co-owner and principal of AE Sloan Leadership. He is also the executive director of the DePree Center Church Leadership Institute and associate professor of leadership formation at Fuller Seminary.
