Below is a press release from CBF-partner Passport Inc.
Following the Star, the devotional series for Advent and Christmas returns to d365.org, starting on December 1st. This series features scripture, prayer, and meditative thoughts accompanied by gentle music. This year’s writers are active members of our three sponsoring denominations.
Our Cooperative Baptist Fellowship writers are Rev. Jennifer Hawks, Director of Advocacy for CBF, and Grace Martino-Suprice, Director of Culture and Collaboration at CBF.
Our Episcopal writers are Rt. Rev. Douglas Sparks, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Northern Indiana, and Rev. Nathaniel Adishian, Priest-in-Charge at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Mishawaka, Indiana.
Our Presbyterian Church (USA) writers are Rev. Michelle Thomas-Bush, Associate Pastor for Youth and Their Families at Myers Park Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, NC, and Amy Kim-Kyremes Parks, Director of Formation for Children and Their Families at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church in Asheville, NC.
Devotions include hymn and carol arrangements from musicians Mark Hayes, David Burroughs, Joseph Martin, Carter Harrell, Carol Goff, and Jon Chacko. Their music can be found on all major streaming platforms.
Following the Star is part of the year-round devotional website and app, d365, a ministry of Passport, Inc. d365 is sponsored ecumenically by the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship, the Presbyterian Mission Agency, and the Episcopal Church. d365 hosts devotions daily and three seasonal series for Advent, Lent, and an August series called Back2School.
