General CBF

The Answer is YES!

I received an email a few weeks ago from a friend in a church and this was the question posed, “Does CBF see its role as a resource tool for individual churches or does its role also embrace the capacity to help coordinate work of individual churches?”  This question grew out of discussions at the missions committee meetings.  My friend doesn’t know that I work on the Missional Church Team or that this very question gets at the heart of my work to help churches and individuals as they engage in local and global ministry.  Needless to say, I was quick to respond to the email with a great big YES!  CBF does see itself as a resource.  And YES, we do strive to assist in helping individuals and churches with visioning, shaping, defining and engaging as they live out their calling to be engaged in the world using their unique gifts and talents.  Each community of faith will engage in the world using their uniqueness and CBF wants to be a partner in that endeavor.  And YES, we are creating ways for churches and individuals to connect with other churches, field personnel, organizations and individuals who share the same passion or calling.  Check out the CBF website, go to “missions” and locate the world map with the highlighted areas.  Click on a part of the world that is of interest and see the work being done in that part of the world.  Then let’s work together in being the presence of Christ in the world!
