CBF field personnel Steve and Nancy James have arrived safely back in Haiti and as of mid-day Friday, Jan. 15, were headed to Port-au-Prince to establish a base of operations there. Co-appointed with American Baptist International Ministries, the Jameses will be the Fellowship’s point of contact for ministry in Haiti.
To serve in Haiti, fill out the online form letting us know your skills, training and availability. As needs are determined, those who have filled out the form will be called on to assist with the projects that is the best match for their abilities.
Also on Jan. 15, Scott Hunter, one of CBF’s former field personnel in Southeast Asia, agreed to a three-month assignment in Haiti to provide logistical assistance and be a point of contact in the country for response teams coming from the U.S. He is expected to be in Haiti by Jan. 19. Hunter was instrumental in coordinating the Fellowship’s response to the 2004 tsunami, working primarily in Sri Lanka.
