The following is an update from Dr. Jeff Roberts, senior pastor of Trinity Baptist Church in Raleigh, N.C., and Chair of the CBF Executive Coordinator Search Committee.
I am delighted to inform you that the search for our new Executive Coordinator is progressing as planned. Our Search Committee has met three times in person and by conference call on other occasions. During our last meeting, we met with six candidates for a day of introductory interviews. As a result of this productive day, we have narrowed our field of candidates and are planning a second round of interviews in November.
The Search Committee’s experience has been both encouraging and hopeful. Our committee consists of people from across CBF life, and I am delighted to report that our work has been not merely cooperative but harmonious. We are working in one accord with the future of CBF in mind. In addition, our committee is encouraged by all of the candidates we interviewed. We have been reminded of the talent, gifts and spiritual depth that is present in CBF life.
I ask that you continue to pray for Suzii Paynter as she leads us in this search time. Also, pray for our committee and for our candidates. Finally, pray for our fellowship. I am convinced, more than ever, that God has great things in store for our future together.
Blessings,
Jeff Roberts
Sr. Pastor- Trinity Baptist Church
